Investing in your well-being.
Taking the first step toward healing is a significant investment in yourself. I believe in being transparent about the logistics of our work together so you can focus fully on your healing journey.
I offer a 15-minute free phone consultation to answer your questions and help us determine if we are a good fit for one another.
Please give me a call 828-214-5318.
This rate applies to both psychotherapy and art therapy sessions, as often the two modalities are woven together.
To ensure we have ample time for our work together, all appointments must begin no later than 15 minutes after the scheduled hour.
Payment is due at the beginning of each session. You may pay by cash, checks, or credit card.
Policy Note: All clients are required to keep a credit card on file. To maintain the sustainability of the practice, if payment is not received within 30 days, I reserve the right to pause or terminate therapy services.
I do not accept insurance directly. However, many clients are able to utilize Out-of-Network benefits. Upon request, I can provide you with a Superbill (a detailed receipt) which you can submit to your insurance provider for potential reimbursement. Please keep in mind:
Submitting a Superbill requires me to provide a medical diagnosis.
It is your responsibility to contact your insurance provider to verify your specific mental health benefits and claim submission process. Here are a few questions you might want to ask your insurance provider:
What have I paid towards my out-of-network deductible
Do I have mental health benefits?
What will I be reimbursed for counseling sessions?
How do I submit my superbills for reimbursement?
Your session time is reserved exclusively for you. If you need to cancel or reschedule, please do so at least 24 hours in advance. If an appointment is cancelled or rescheduled within the 24-hour window, or if a session is missed, you will be responsible for the full session fee. This allows me to maintain a consistent schedule for all my clients.
You have the right to receive a “Good Faith Estimate” explaining how much your medical care will cost. This form is included in your Welcome Packet which you will receive via email prior to our first appointment.
Under the No Surprise Act, passed January 2022, you are protected against surprise medical bills and are entitled to an estimate of services from out-of-network providers. This bill applies to all healthcare and you should check with your individual provider and how it impacts your care. What this means is that by law, health care providers need to give patients who don’t have insurance or who are not using insurance an estimate of the bill for medical items and services called a Good Faith Estimate, in writing.
You have the right to receive a Good Faith Estimate.
You have the right to receive the Good Faith Estimate in writing at least 1 business day before your service. You can also ask your provider for a Good Faith Estimate before you schedule a service.
If you receive a bill that is at least $400 more than your Good Faith Estimate, you can dispute the bill.
Make sure to save a copy or picture of your Good Faith Estimate.
